dutik
Hello! Simple question: Do "Real Colors" need a clearcote before I start weathering with washes, oil colors, filters and other stuff that usually damage acrylic colors? Regards - dutik
artoor_k
AK Real Colors are nearly invulnerable to any washes. I've used them without any primer and paint was not damaged after weathering. Just let them dry. dutik
Woody V
Weather away! The only thing that will damage lacquer paints is lacquer. dutik
Stokey Pete
You can almost hit them with a hammer and it wouldn’t do much harm. They’re brilliant paints to use without primer, putting enamel/oil washes onto, and if you’ve polished the paint with a 12000...to decal straight onto without the need for gloss coating. AK real colours, and MRP lacquers are my go to choices for paint these days. I’ve pretty much got rid of all my acrylics except for a few metallic colours.
