G-LY was the PR mosquito that famously landed in Switzerland and was repurposed for the Air Service. Not sure if it was a pathfinder. Thank you for the answer. I thought it might be a PFF aircraft because it looks like it has a load of Target Indicators in the bomb bay. Ernest Suresh Nathan
Greif8
8 hours ago, MikeC said: No, it's a PR (photographic reconnaissance) aircraft. PFF - Pathfinder Force - aircraft were specialist bomber squadrons of Bomber Command. Their purpose was to mark targets for the main bomber force. Two very different, but equally vital, roles. Hi Mike, I did not look at the bomb bay closely enough and thought the payload was Target Indicators. Ernest Suresh Nathan

Jack
You did the "old lady" justice, very impressive build, shows that with TLC some really good end results can be had, this is very inspirational building the old Revell kit (which i have two of , with AM parts), so i hope to be able to get the same results as you have. Feed me Jack
Beautiful, I love the contrast with the 'bare' wooden parts and the normal finish we see. How was the Revell kit? I know it's an old kit but I've seen it online very cheaply - it is tempting! Cheers Suresh Nathan

Still the wooden plane did not have many access panels so it's actually pretty accurate. I love these old kits more than the newer ones anyway so I can't bring myself to pay what these new kits demand.
dennismcc
Fantastic job on a very old kit, I was walking past some model shelves in Hobbyco the other day and there was one on there, I was tempted to buy one as they are great value for money, and I have fond memories of building one years ago, but with a Tamiya version in the stash I walked on. Cheers Dennis Suresh Nathan

Cheers Dennis Hi Dennis, I have many new age kits including Zoukei Mura. The Revell old tools are still my favourite and I try to do one every year. Thanks for looking.
