DYNAVECTOR 1/48 SUPERMARINE SCIMITAR F1

Hi All - this my build of the old 1/48 Dynavector Supermarine Scimitar vacform kit - took me about a year to complete.

Nice vacform kit but the fin chord was too narrow & the tailplane chord too broad so  I reshaped them and made a new vacform canopy to correct the windscreen forequarter panels which sat too high in my opinion. Other than that the kit really captures the lines of the Scimitar.

Everything looks so good: canopy, wing fold, paint! You are a bona-fide, old school aircraft modeler when you do a vacuformed model.

Thanks for that Greg, nice to hear from you - this kit sat in my stash for about 11 years and I think I got it from Hannants UK back then -  unfortunately no longer available as the Dynavector vacforms were very good - I would love to see Airfix or maybe Kinetic  release an injection moulded kit of the Scimitar.

Great build!  Still annoying that even after we see kits of so many paper projects, we still can't get a 1/48 kit of the Scimitar in injected plastic.
