Jeff T Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 Hi all, Could someone in the know tell me if the Instrument Panel on a Bf 109-E4, Late September 1940 would be RLM 02, the same as the rest of the Cockpit, or RLM 66? MikeMaben Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 Hey Jeff , it's difficult to nail down a date for the change as they had just developed a new O2 and were supposed to use up the old stocks of 02 after which they started painting IPs 66. I would say by the time the E-4 showed up it would have been 66. In November of '41 cockpits (visible thru glazing) were painted 66 as well. D.B.
