anyone used Albion Alloys turnbuckles as insulators on antenna wires?

hi guys,

 

winding up lead wire to simulate springs and wotnot is a huge PITA and I never get it to look convincing anyway, so I saw these and wondered has anyone used Albion Alloys turnbuckles as insulators on antenna wires?

 

TB2 which are 4mm long

 

and

 

TB1 which are 3mm long

Not necessarily for the straight type, but for the bumpy/small style antenna insulators I occasionally use a mix of CA gel and some Microballoons which are already white

For springs I normally seek out Japanese model car sites. Hiroboy is a great site to pick stuff up like micro springs:

 

Micro-spring and even some car muffler spring sets can be adapted I have found
