Some years ago I built the Azur Hawk 75 (SH plastic), and I remember it as not bad... maybe it's time that heals all wounds...

Doing the Tempest right now and I hate the nose and the leading edge inserts... apart from that it's an ok kit.

Also doing the P-39 now and it's ok - I didnt extend the tail (yet...)

One thing that I find is a very good thing for short run kits is ALWAYS to give mating surfaces a swipe with the sanding stick. It seems to me that it helps a lot with bad fit...

Have fun

Here's a link to my Bloch 152 build, I realised that it was from the Photobucket days and have just replaced the photos.

And the Hawk 75 build, will have to check out the Nate build

Cheers

The Hawk kit is globally ok except the nose area. This is the challenging part.

Cheers, Thierry. Noted.

Excellent.  Thanks Dennis. The Bloch build will be very helpful indeed. Especially the canted nose.

I forgot I also have the Caudron, D-520 and MS-406.

Haven't built the Caudron (yet) but built the Ms-406C and that turned out rather nice just watch out for the clear parts as they are a mite fragile, I've put a link to the build below.

The D520 was a fun build but I did not publish a build thread about it, it was not something that I did in those days (2007) but I did keep one and it went together as well as the others, lots of test fitting and sanding. The surface detail was very nice and the decals were great to work with, I usually hate decals but these went well.

I also painted and repainted it a couple of times, Modeldad over on HS posted a WW2 colour photo of the subject of my build which helped a great deal.

And my end result.

@mpk i built the P-39 and it was quite a fun build. Im not an accuracy buff so i didint bother with the fuselage lenght concern.

the only thing that got me was that trhe doors dont close, they need a little trimming and i dont test fit them so ended up displaying with both doors open. Adn TBH its a good thing, look cool plus its the only model ive built in i dont know how many years that i can actually see all the detail work that went into the cockpit. This is a huge plus for me
