thierry laurent 6,969
I guess this is their old SPAD VII kit with a small new sprue covering the gun and engine differences. I would be very glad but seriously doubt this will be a really full new kit.
vince14 1,368
It would need a lot more than just gun and engine tweeks - the wings of the SPAD XIII were a different shape to the VII, plus the VII was slightly smaller in all dimensions. Also, there's changes to the elevator, rudder, windshield, and the cockpit layout was different as well. Frankly, it would be easier to design and produce new tooling than attempting to modify the existing molds. kalashnikov-47 and Basta
GrahamC 33
I believe this is a new 1/32 scale release as noted here: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=11367.0 and here: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235077887-132-spad-xiii-by-roden-box-art-release-spring-2021/ cheers, Graham Out2gtcha

esarmstrong 483
Here's to hoping Roden have indeed "upped their game" with the molds and with decals, too. Time will tell. LSP_K2, scvrobeson and Gazzas
thierry laurent 6,969
Hopefully this will be a new kit. Wait and see. Gazzas and esarmstrong

europapete 193
I think we need to support Roden's new initiative with our wallets and encourage more new stuff. Regards, Pete in RI

Out2gtcha 36,393
Ive sort of have a returned vigor for WWI stuff while working on the Mengnut F.1. I really like the Spad, so if it turns out this is a new tool, I'll be grabbing a Spad for sure.
europapete 193
I am in for the Spad, the upcoming Avro and Sopwith, and the Holt tractor set. Anyone know what scale the pidgeon loft bus will be? In for 1/35, no if it's 1/72. Regards, Pete in RI
firefly7 167
Pete, it says 1/35 for the Greyhound bus. Paul in Napier
