chrish
Built out of the box, home made masks by scanning the kit decals, the yellow serial numbers are the only decals used. Painting done with Tamiya acrylics and Alclad lacquers. (1/48 scale) Aaannd Kinetic 1/48 Hawkeye... one major mistake, (I'll fix it) Thanks for looking Edited February 13, 2021 by chrish typo MikeC, scvrobeson, D.B. aircommando130
Awesome! Great job on both! Is that the old Monogram C-47? I have one of those to build. Currently reading "The Forgotten 500" about downed USAAF crew members shot down from the Ploesti oil field raids and bailed out over Yugoslavia and protected by the locals till the OSS could land behind enemy lines in C-47's to rescue them. Cheers...Ron chrish

chrish
Thanks guys! The C-47 is the Trumpeter kit, I added .005" strips to the rudder to defeat the metal effect the rivets offered and re-profiled the cowlings which look quite wrong as provided. I did use my (still in the box) Revell/ Monogram C-47 as a pattern to match this kits cowls to. It is otherwise an awesome kit!
