Christopher Plummer RIP

Recommended Posts

RIP. A great actor in both film and on the stage; a very fine Shakespearean stage presence, he will be missed.  I always have wondered which Squadron Leader his character was based on in "The Battle of Britain", perhaps several.

Perhaps a mix of Richard Hilary and Bob Tuck. I don't know if Tuck was married at the time of the battle.

As a child I waited years to see the film first time aired on TV.

I had the bubble gum card set. I lost it in a move in 1972.

Vale Christopher Plummer.

One of the true greats of stage and screen. And from my hometown, as well. I had the immense pleasure to see him perform in Stratford on more than one occasion. Just brilliant. We have lost an icon. May his memory always be a blessing.
