I got plenty of good feedback here when I asked about best Fw190 and Mustang in 1/48. Now for these kits and I didn’t have to join. another site.

Maybe so, but these continual threads on topics which don't belong here are turning the site into something it's not, what next a thread about what washing powder to use if you live in an area with hard water.

Take a hint.

Since the original post concerned an aircraft and modeling it is more relevant to the theme of LSP than a lot of what is posted in the General Discussion.  Also consider that the most likely source of new large scale modelers is someone who is already engaged in some aspect of modeling.    Perhaps positive responses would help in recruiting new converts from the smaller scales.

If you had someone into Jazz, and they go into a record store specialising in Grunge, and asked for recommendations by Miles Davis, they'd probably get strange looks, and not many responses. If the same person went into a Jazz record store and asked the same question, they'd get a more informed response.

A few days later that person returns to the Grunge store and asks for recommendations by John Coltrane.

A few days after that, there again asking about Courtney Pine.

We get people asking from time to time why something like a 1/48 B-52 isn't considered an LSP, when the answer is right there on the tin, it's what makes this place unique, and a constant stream of posts relating to other scales is going to eradicate that, and at some point you've got to say enough is enough.

What's wrong with joining ARC and asking the question there, it's what I'd do.

Thanks, what the silent majority were thinking.  A thread about muscle cars is encouraged but one on 48th scale is flamed. Then some weird justification and further piling in and doubling down.
