Thanks to the great suggestion from Maru, let's start an LSP engines thread. After the cockpit, it's my next stop for modeling bliss! I'll start with these:

Rolls Royce Derwent jet engine from the HKM Gloster Meteor MkIV.  The engine is actually aftermarket Profimodeler for the HKM Meteor.

Allison V-1710 from the Kitty Hawk P-39 kit (together with moth of the other innards - it was the best picture I have of this engine!)

Napier Sabre, from the Airfix Hawker Typhoon.

It just shows that everyone gets something from this wonderful hobby of ours!

Some modellers are terrified of such detailing, whilst others absolutely  lap it all up.

Me, well I'm some way inbetween, if it shows I'll do it.

Otherwise, it goes to the spares box for another day!

Great work here, very inspiring. :clap2:

This build A6M2N is TAM A6M2b using MDC A6M2N Rufe conversion.  Also my first build 2012 returning to this hobby after >30 year hiatus.  I look at it now and I'm tempted to strip paint off for repaint.  My skill-sets have trended since this effort.
