LSP_K2
A bit OT for LSP perhaps, but lately I've been wondering why the old Monogram F9F hasn't been replaced yet. I'd really like to do either of the two Panthers that William Holden (Brubaker) flew in The Bridges at Toko-Ri. Oldbaldguy
Dave Williams
Hobbycraft/Trumpeter did 1/48 Panthers, but just -2/3 versions, not the -5. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/trumpeter-02832-f9f-2-panther--104839

I'd also like to perhaps do Blue Tail Fly or Vice Versa, but I believe both of those are also dash 5's. Anyway, while the Monogram kit seems fine, generally, it's also quite dated, having raised panel lines, which I'm no big fan of these days. Thanks anyway though, to both you and Dave.
Oldbaldguy
As I’m sure you already know, the monogram kit results in a pretty small model - the Panther never being very big to begin with. Build it, buff the raised detail off and slap on a nice coat of GSB and it will look just like the real thing. LSP_K2

I built one before (209), and it turned out pretty well, I thought, but would still like a replacement. The Fisher kit, all resin, is just too expensive, and I relay don't like resin kits anyway. Perhaps we'll see a new kit one of these days, either 1:48 or 1:32.
