ICM NEWs 2021 - Bell AH-1G Cobra in 1/32

I have few helicopters I'd like to do, but a Vietnam war AH-1G is on the top of that list.... I am a very happy man now

With what they've given us these years (and in good quality), ICM is rapidly becoming a very beloved company 'round my house.

It’s funny - I have no issues with helos being in 32nd, probably cause all my other aircraft are in the same scale.  But when it comes to non-rotary wing models in 35th, that’s an absolute no-go line in the sand.

I’m not a scaleist, some of my best friends are 1/35th scale, I’m all about the subject matter, and ICM are really putting a dent in my wish list.

Now that they’re doing the Vietnam era, I wonder if it would be too much to ask for a 1/32 tweet to go with the Cobra?

You associate with 35th modelers???  Uh.....ok, sure......I guess...  I’m not judging!

Regarding a T-37, that’s a fine idea (once they put out a UH-1H Huey of course).

They don’t model in 1/35th scale, they are 1/35th scale:D

I’m really looking forward to this G model Cobra, God only knows how many 1/72 Matchbox ones I build in the 70’s, all of them with my gluey thumb print on the canopy!

If the do branch out into UH-1’s, I’d love to see them do a B model, a RAN version would look great on the mantle piece

In case you didn’t see the post a few months back, KH announced a 32nd Huey series, with the B model being released first.  Take it with a grain of salt, they announced the D/H years ago and we are still waiting.  Even if they do, it will probably have typical KH issues but it’s better than nothing.

I couldn't agree more!

Somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind lurks the dread that they'll blow the whole deal by producing it in 1/35 scale instead of 1/32. If they do, I'll buy only one kit (preferably at a deep discount) just for the satisfaction of burning it one piece at a time.

I won't, not in the abomination that is 1:35th scale!!! No pasaran!!!

I'm still upset with Hobby Boss' 1/35 storch.

:frantic:

The Storch wasn’t their kit.  It was originally made by Tristar, a short lived company that previously had made only 1/35 armor kits.  HB bought the Tristar molds.

Would you settle for a sprue burning ceremony after giving me all the parts and instructions for the kit?
