The floor of the pilot area was at the same level than the one of the radio/gunner in the actual airframe. There were cutouts in that floor around the pilot seat supports that were intended to locate the pilot higher. For whatever reason, close to all kit companies considered the fact the pilot seat was higher as a clue that the floor was higher and without such cutouts! Even Aires made the same mistake in their resin set intended to the Hasegawa kit. I believe one of the very few correct kits is the very old 1/24th Airfix kit. The newish 1/48 Airfix kits have correct floors and probably the only one with the correct nose for the B model thierry laurent and ivanmoe

TankBuster
Hi, is there any more news on the accuracy of the JU-87 Stuka kit from Border. I don't have one in my collection and was hoping this kit might be ok. https://www.themodellingnews.com/2021/08/preview-border-models-135th-scale-ju-87.html cheers Bob. ringleheim
I think they both look nice, but I'm surprised at how quickly the eye picks up that they are smaller than 1/32 scale. You notice it right away. I didn't think you would. I think they are going to keep going with the 1/35 idea.
Tony T
Not interested in 1/35th scale propeller planes but suspect that this is the future. Would love to see 1960s-1970s carrier aviation in armour scale. For the fast movers, 1/48 is a bit too wee and 1/32 can be unwieldy. Tony
