LSP_K2
As is my general practice, I pick a brand new kit on new year’s eve to start working. This year being no exception, I’ve chosen the Takom 1:35 SS100 Hanomag, a perfect companion piece for my (eventual) V2 and Meillerwagen display. Obligatory box/contents shots. LSP_K2
Well, this is as far as I got tonight, folks, but I'll probably be doing a lot more tomorrow too. So far I'm somewhat less than impressed with the overall execution of the building process (I hope this is not typical for Takom kits), but generally the kit seems to at least be detailed very well. I also copped a pair of Tamiya nippers for my buddy, and I'm completely sold on them, so much so that I'll very soon be ordering myself a pair. chukw, mpk, Rockie Yarwood and 4 others
LSP_K2
More work done tonight. Already getting close to the point when I'll need to paint the interior. Uncarina, LSP_Ray, mpk and 1 other

Now that the major holidays are over, the table is free to use once again, so back to it I go. mpk and Rockie Yarwood
LSP_K2
Yet more work done tonight. Either the instructions are goobered, or I read them wrong, as the doors (eight pieces, total), were not matching up with the first side I tackled. mpk, Rockie Yarwood, SCRATCH BUILDER and 1 other
LSP_K2
Odd, I've looked everywhere for a book on this subject, and have found absolutely nothing. There is one item published by some Rinaldi fella, but that's just a "how I did it" reference, which is completely useless to me, so I guess I'll follow the Takom painting guide, having no other options. LSP_K2
Fourth night in a row working on the Hanomag. I have to say that it's great to be back at the bench (dining room table) again. mpk
LSP_K2
I suppose this was almost inevitable; 9 ejector pin marks in the roof area. Actually, the way the kit is designed, there are very few pin marks that need to be dealt with, and that pleases me a bunch. Out2gtcha
Interesting choice for sure. Looks like it doesnt come with the artillery piece? mpk, Rockie Yarwood and LSP_K2

Nope, no artillery (it even says as much on the box). I'll be using it, eventually, with my Dragon V2 and a Meillerwagen, so I'm not concerned. mpk, Rockie Yarwood and Out2gtcha
LSP_K2
I also found out that Panzer Art makes a six wheel resin set to replace the rubber tires, which I loathe, so I'll soon be ordering those. Rather oddly, they don't offer the spare though, so I guess I'll go ahead with the rubber tire for that, and hope that it doesn't melt anything. mpk
Greif8
Looking good Kev. All those ejector pins bring back memories of an AFV Club Flak 88 I built some years ago. It was a nice kit - except for several ejector pin marks in some prominent places. Dealing with them almost brought me to me knees! Ernest Takom actually took the time to add punch pins at locations adjacent to many parts, rather than on them, so I'm fairly pleased with that, as I have several other kits from them in mind to do,... one day. I suspect the kit below may be one that brings me to tears, but haven't really looked at it all that closely yet, so it too might just be OK. LSP_K2
Spare tire assembly now built. I must say, these are the nicest rubber tires I've ever seen in a kit. I can only dream of such tires in my 1:24 and 1:25 scale model car kits. chrish, Rockie Yarwood, Rick Griewski and 1 other
