panzerrob
Hi all, My last project of 2020 is finished: a Polish Tigermeet F16! The F16 is an Academy F16CG/CJ, together with parts from a F16 Sufa. Building it was a pleasure, but I may have mixed up the big/small mouth and exhaust parts, I am not an aircraft expert as I am more of a tank builder. Anyway, it looks like an F16, and that's the important part for me. Enough talk, here are the pics: No photo's of the under side of the plane, as I tried to start with panel lining, in which I failed miserably! First I tried Tamiya Panel line, then my own mix of white spirit and oilpaint, nothing worked. So, I hope you like it! With regards, Rob P.S. I wish all of you a very happy and healthy 2021, without Covid! Edited December 30, 2020 by panzerrob Additional photo! Stokey Pete
Nice paint scheme, you won’t be popular in our house. Mrs Stokeypete wanted this scheme for a viper but it would have meant buying yet another kit. It looks pretty good to me. Kudos. panzerrob
Confusionreigns178
She's a very fine-looking F-16 and a real tribute to your building and painting skills. Where did the conformal fuel tanks come from? Are they the CMK version? If they are, was it much work to add them to the Academy kit (IIRC, they are made for the Tamiya kit)? Thanks. Chris. panzerrob
Hi Chris, The CFT's are from the Academy Sufa kit! (or more precisely, the AFV Club F16B), therefore the fit was more or less perfect. Since there were no locator pins it was a bit of a struggle to find the correct position! Uncarina
Rob, I have a build of this very aircraft on hold and hope my result is half as good! Cheers, Tom panzerrob
Greif8
Great job on the Tiger Meet paint scheme Rob. I think your F16 looks outstanding. I wish you and your loved a better 2021 than 2020 was. Ernest panzerrob
