It's on tonight actually. I have family in that Mahone Bay area, been to the Mug and Anchor for a pint a few times myself. Gazzas
Rick Griewski
The TV series “V”. The alien beings turns out were lizard like and were stocking up on human meat for a trip home. dennismcc, Telepatu, LSP_Matt and 1 other
Rick Griewski
My wife and I were glued to the Foyle's War series. Some of our family watched it but not many of my friends cared one way or another. MikeC

I lived in the same town as the Laginas, Traverse City Michigan... though I never met them, it's good to hear people who talk like me again. Canceling that series should have been classified as a war crime, it was far better than Homeland which got three seasons. Guess you just can't do an upbeat series anymore. BradG
Dad and I as a kid use to watch Earth 2, was a great scifi show, but got cancelled after 1 season I think. Mum and dad really liked Dr. Blake Mysteries but that got cancelled with Craig Mclaughlan was accused of sexual assault, but as he has been vindicated and found not guilty in court, I'd hope he gets his job back! It was, unfortunately, cancelled because of the writer's strike that happened after season 2. Great show. BloorwestSiR and RadBaron 1
ironman1945
Always thought Terminator - the Sarah Conner Chronicles - with Lenah Headey and Summer Glau was a great show. Like "Life" with Damian Lewis, it only lasted 2 seasons and was cancelled because of the writers strike. RadBaron
MikeC
Get Some In, which followed a bunch of RAF National Service recruits in the 1950s. It ran in the mid-late 1970s. "Fag* for the Corporal ... Light for the Corporal". *"Fag" here is English slang for a cigarette, and has no other connotations.
MikeMaben
Foyles War was good. His son was a Spitfire pilot, right ? I think British shows are the best. I miss the old Sherlock Holmes series. Doc Martin, Last of the Summer Wine, old comedies from the '90s that were on PBS here in the colonies.. dennismcc
I can only echo what has been said about Foyle's War, both myself and the "boss" loved it. Cheers Dennis
