There's a color photo of a BV 138 visible too. Thanks for nudging HPH. Great photo of the preserved wreck. Adam Not to me. I suspect they're something they rigged up themselves. kkarlsen
The color photos are of wrecked BV 138's left after the war in Copenhagen. Here's a couple of the photos enjoy... kkarlsen
Stumbled across this great photo of a BV 138 it was in the wrong directory, easy to miss... Kagemusha, scvrobeson, nmayhew and 5 others 6
mozart
Not my cup of tea but I'm very pleased for you Kent, knowing your love of all things "floaty that fly". kkarlsen
Confusionreigns178
I must admit I won't be buying one of these (not pointy enough for me), but I genuinely admire the dedication of companies that produce kits of subjects like this one. LSP_Mike
33 1/2 inch wingspan. Not for the faint of heart. Out2gtcha, Basta and scvrobeson
Out2gtcha
I'm not kidding myself, I'll be getting one these. Ive got seaplane/flying boat fascination, and the 138 has long been a favorite. It will likely be the largest kit I'll have done. Not sure where I'll put it, but that's secondary...... nmayhew, firefly7, Jan_G and 1 other
alaninaustria
Too bad they didnt have the foresight back then to save a few of those birds for the museums... the diesel engines in those birds are really an engineering marvel - they are vertically opposed cylinders in the sense that the top of the pistons compress against each other in the same cylinder... very unique! Add 100 to it and you get the 238, now that's something to worry about spacewise. Brock, D.B. Andrus, Out2gtcha and 1 other
scvrobeson
Well, they're already doing an Me-323. So maybe go all out for a 238 or a 222. Never noticed that the two wing engines had 3 bladed props, while the center engine had 4. Wonder what the reason was for that? Matt
firefly7
Is that a mast on top of the 238 fuselage.

Troy Molitor
Relating to the picture above. Are those bullet holes running along the fuselage just above the water line? The turret looks like it took a few rounds also.
LSP_K2
As much as the BV is cool, perhaps they'll follow-up with a Do 24??
