I wanted to try it right away when I read about it but I thought that there must be a better way to attach the toothpicks than by white glue. After scratching my head for a bit, I ended up using stiff wire to make clips that grip over the lip of the AB. They just clamp on and stay put if the tension is correct. The resin can is from the Eduard Brassin 1:48 F-4E exhaust set, which I am using on a Hasegawa eggplane. Late tomorrow I will post pics of the painted exhausts on my thread in the Non LSP Works part of the forum.
