RadBaron
How accurate is the scheme depicted here in Special Hobby's instructions? Is there any photographic proof of it, and if so, are there any pictures clear enough to discern how feathered the colour demarcation are? Looks like a lot of fun to paint if it's legit esarmstrong, Out2gtcha, Rockie Yarwood and 1 other
RBrown
The scheme was employed on Macchi Mc 200 and 202s for sure. Check out Stormo! (a webzine devoted to the Regia Aeronatica). Here is a link to their page on RA colors and camouflage. Gazzas, Rockie Yarwood and RadBaron 2

MikeMaben
That pattern was called 'poached egg' by the allies. Green all over with light tan splotches with brownish splotces inside that. The splotches were freehanded with soft edges. I've never seen it that intense, usually more spread out but I suppose it was possible. Go for it Rad !! LSP_K2
I have several Ali d'Italia series books, and the various aircraft depicted, had all manner of weird schemes. RadBaron and MikeMaben

Kagemusha
Sorry if I come across brusque - it's 12.25 am, I'm knackered and about to visit Nod - the cowl has a canvas cover, and it's a different scheme, if I have the time tomorrow will have a look through my reference books. Brusque is fine when it contains fact I'm not at all up to speed with Italian schemes, beyond looking through Stormo at RBrown's suggestion, so any insight is welcome
Kagemusha
Here it is. There is an illustration of that aircraft in this publication, if you send me a pm with your email I'll send you a photo, it's a more realistic rendition than the kit instructions.
