I have the Italeri F-104 and intend to do an Italian F-104S in the future. Looking at the decals it seems a waist to only use one option so the old Hasegawa kit was rescued from the shelf of doom. The following was done and added.

Hasegawa kit re-scribed.

Brass pitot turned on the Dremel.

Seat from Italeri kit detailed.

Scratch build IP

Scratch build rear cockpit wall

Kormoran missiles from CMK(Beautifully done, best resin weapon I have seen) with scratch build pylons.

Bulged wheel doors from Italeri kit

AIM-9B from Italeri kit with scratch build European Sidewinder launchers

Chaff/flare dispenser scratch build.

Aires afterburner nozzle.

Pastel weathering and Revell paint.

Enjoy

Very nice 104 Nick!  Did you make the base yourself, it also looks very good?!

Ernest

Hi Ernest

Thanks for the comments. The base was made by cutting the grooves in superwood and painting the filling between the blocks. The base was finished by airbrushing various shades of grey onto it.

Happy modeling

Nick
