This will probably be especially true this year, as hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of Americans, will be mail ordering more stuff than is typical for the holiday. As to the overall state of the shipping/mailing services in the US; USPS, FedEx, and UPS, they all seem to be plugging away the best they can, and my experience has been just fine with them all, as I usually do all of my Christmas purchases online, and have only noticed minor delays here and there, which I believe is quite understandable. Anyone here receiving gifts from somewhere other than their own country, are wel advised to accept the possibility of delays, and show some restraint in expectations of speedy deliveries.
