Out of interest, how much has the plastic cost you so far - as in the raw material? Just curious as to how this would compare with a mainstream kit. Tom It won't be much!! scvrobeson
I still think you guys are nuts printing up 1/32 737/P-8 models, but this is still one of the coolest things to see come together, and really illustrates what the future of the hobby will look like. williamj
WOW!!! It's quite a size and will take a gallon of paint.. But WOW! Derek B
KiwiZac
To see the P-8 compared with the Connie is one thing. To see them both with a human melts my mind a little! scvrobeson and Derek B

Starfighter
Probably mix of the temperature not being constantly high enough despite my enclosure and material flow. And me not being the right guy to play around with settings for weeks before I can properly print a part... Derek B
Jim Barry
Great Work Iain. I went down the path with lots of 3D printing for my Bearcat (engine, cowling cockpit, wheels). The small successes can really draw you in, but there is so much work. It's a real test of your love for Aircraft, for sure. Iain
There's actually been some progress on this - and I've successfully printed up the first of the cockpit panels (main and overhead) on my high-resolution Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K LCD Resin printer. Will try and get some up-to-date photos up this weekend. Blue skies, Iain Brett M, scvrobeson, Out2gtcha and 7 others 9

You are already a modeller, so you already understand 3d. It just takes a bit of practise..... Go play with TinkerCAD for a day or so, then ask about the next step. Honestly, your modelling world will expand to infinity!! Iain and Anthony in NZ
