Where else do people post?

I usually don't post my airplane builds anywhere, mainly because I build so slowly. I do post my progress on some of my race car builds over on the Motorsports Modeling forum, though. It's a great forum, that has the same friendly, laid-back vibe as LSP and Modeling Madness. I still occasionally post on Hyperscale, ARC, and Britmodeller.

Speaking of Hyperscale, using an ad blocker really reduces the amount of annoying ads on that forum, as well as on Modeling Madness.

I have only just started posted build logs here for first time in years post photobucket debacle - Flickr seems pretty user friendly fwiw

re aircraft..

I am a member on Large Scale Modeller but don't post there much, again mainly because i haven't done any build logs

Britmodeller has a great focus on Brit stuff which I love, but many on there are just stuck in the dark ages where techniques are concerned, and 1/32 doesn't seem to exist for most

re armour...

Missing-Lynx now and nowhere else

Track-Link could be good but they refuse to sort their formatting issues as some last ditch effort to stick to the way hyperscale (and missing-lynx) used to be

most of my modelling online activity is now on Facebook at the Scale Modellers Critique Group ('SMCG')

not many people's cup of tea, and in no way 1/32 focussed - although it is respectfully known as ' #manscale ' :coolio: - but if you want to learn new techniques then it's the place for you

also member of a few specialist German armour FB groups

I mostly post here these days.  I look into Britmodeller most days as well, and sometimes even post - much less than I used to.   I was also a member of another, smaller, British forum until I had a difference of opinion with one of the admins and decided it was not really the place for me.

I'm also on FB, and a member of a number of groups there, mostly IPMS(UK)-related.

This sight is very receptive to almost any model build thread and RFI posting either in large scale or non-LSP, helpful members are always willing to offer support or even parts (often for free) but, I have wandered off recently. I post LSP’s here but all my other stuff lately is over at Britmodeller where my small scale civil aviation subjects seem more at home with a couple of other fellows doing the same kinds of things I am. So I guess, like others, long story short, I post here and Britmodeller

I have tried HyperScale in the past but like mentioned above the ads are very nasty...and they follow you home when you leave by emailing you! So no more of that crap!

just my random $0.02

Yep, here and that's about it. Had a couple bad experiences on some other sites of various types, so I dropped all (including FB) but here. Much easier on my stress level.

Man, you've got that right, Brian.  I'm not sure what it is about this place, but it's generally very relaxed and positive.  We have some really great modelers here and they all seem to be very happy to share and discuss their work freely.  No elitism or attitude.  Things don't get nitpicked to the nth degree.  Love it.  This is one of only a couple of internet sites I visit daily, and the only dedicated modeling forum.

I'll stop by https://reddit.com/r/modelmakers from time to time.  It's a modeling subreddit with 100k+ subscribers.  It has no specific focus, so you see everything from paper models to 3D printed kits, and discussion from all skill levels.

Aside from here, which is probably now my primary modeling site, i'm also on ARC and on occasion Britmodeler.  ARC seems to be slowly fading away, Britmodeler has some great SME's but seems much more focused on non LSP kits.   Hyperscale has some good content but after trying for a month to get my password sorted out, I gave up.   Plus those ads are beyond annoying.   When the mood hits me, I'll also swing by Armorama.

What's an SME please?

Aside from here, just LSM. I have accounts at Armorama and on FB, but rarely use them. I joined Armorama just so I could see what Jerry Rutman is working on, since dios are all he does nowadays. And I have the FB account just for some special interest groups, the marketplace, businesses, and for model research.
