If I remember correctly, the unbuilt and unpainted version was Euro 2,000 and a professionally built and paint was a snap at more than Euro 5,000. I'll have six of them, at that price! Chris. For those of you who are interested in subs in general or WWII I can highly recommend Silent Victory by Clay Blair Jr.. It's a history of the US submarine war in the Pacific. It's an excellent read. Paul2660 Posted October 19, 2020 Share Posted October 19, 2020 For the kit over 2200 euros. Which would be around 2500 us. The Trumpeter 1/48 VIIC is not a bad deal at 359.00. The old Accurate Armor kit as I recall was waterline only. And it was over 6 feet long if I remember correctly. It was for sale 20 years or so ago.
