Winnie
the seat looks like the entire parachute pack portion is gone, and I suspect a backpack style is worn? kkarlsen
kkarlsen
Maybe, I can't find the parachute either, is it part of the back rest? Edited October 25, 2020 by kkarlsen Paul in Napier and Greg W
kkarlsen
Progress on the cockpit: Added some details to the cockpit floor, incl. the characteristic grooves for the feet. 4 I'm continuing, waiting for the ejection seats, but hope that I will be able to fit them later... Winnie
The light tan part is the parachute. It just doesn't look like the traditional Mk.5 parachutes which are horseshoe shaped and sit in a box. kkarlsen
kkarlsen
The kit has got these reinforcements on the back, but I haven't seen it on danish T-33A's. Would like to know what and why it's there? Kent Greg W, BradG, Starfighter and 1 other
mgbooyv8
Nice to see a T-33 being build to such a high standard. It's a natural for this group build. I'm afraid I can't answer your question, Kent. Cheers, Peter kkarlsen
kkarlsen
So, I've been through literally hundreds of photos of danish T-33A's and none of them has this 'reinforcement'. I have only been able to identifiy it on a very few non danish planes, so I suspect it's a matter of some planes with a long service time having to get this rather crude reinforcement. Well it's gone now... Continuing with the preparation of the fuselage... kkarlsen
Been working on the replacement seats after the AMS seats arrived. Beginning of the rebuild. Resin copy's without detailing. Testfitting of the converted seats. Still some conversion to do as the seats are not identical. Don Yeah the kit is challenging, a lot of cleaning up and correcting. Cut out the flaps for down display. Started detailing the flaps. Fuselage is assembled and the clean up is in progress. Some detailing and revision of the the front wheel well. Kent Greg W, Alain Gadbois, Isar 30/07 and 13 others

Rockie Yarwood
Lovely work as always Kent, your builds are really inspirational. I've heard that getting the intakes to fit correctly is a bugger - have you found problems in that area? Cheers, Rockie kkarlsen

I'm not sure what you mean, there's some cleanup and micro fitting but other than that I think it looks OK? I guess I will be the wiser when I begin to glue the parts together... Started on rivetting the wings to add some more texture to the surfaces... Kent blackbetty, denders, Daniel Leduc and 13 others 15
