Hi Kent, the fit on your kit doesn't look to bad to me. In another build on LSP by Boyd Waechter, he mentioned having to cut the intakes apart in order to get them to conform to the fuselage. (Hope the link works)

Progress on the metal skin:

First base layer a dark aluminium. Looks like a very nice silver paint but not like metal.

After application of true metal in various shades, it's difficult to see in the photograph, but after polishing it now looks a lot like metal .

And the fuselage. Now I need to find something to coat the surface?

Finally got around to work on the seats for the T-33... (Some floatplane always seams to block any progress)

It was far more complicated than I initially thought, but now I have a pair of useable seats.
