Most elegant WW-2 design ? The Spitfire !

Recommended Posts

I will always be biased toward the Mustang, but...if I can step back and be objective for a moment, I think the De Havilland Hornet has to be in the running.

I wish there was one still flying, and that there was an injection moulded 1/32 scale kit.

Nijiag Please Fairey Barracuda! Over 2000 were produced for the Royal Navy as a replacement for the Swordfish. : Warthunder

I didn't expect this one to be a favourite.

This goes to show how different we all look at a plane.

Hi all,

I would like to keep score. But I don't know every plane designed during WW-2

So,if you post a lesser known plane, please add the type.(like the one posted by Mozart)

Amended Erwin, apologies!

Man, it is almost impossible to pick just one the Hornet,Arado 234, Tigercat, J7w Shinden, Bearcat, Do-335, B-29 Jennings entry. But i think the Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star is the one.

Noted.

And thank you for pointing me in the right direction on Jenning's B-29. Must the B-29 prototype ?
