Hi everyone.

I want to share with you my new build - 1/32 Fokker E.V/D.VIII from Mikro Mir.

Well, I wanted to have this build as a small quick vacation project, without any huge conversions or scratch builds, however the model's quality is so pure that, I think, this might take more than 1 week and more than 1 can of beer to build it ))

As usual i started from the engine, it's not the first time I'm making Oberursel/Gnome engine, so no problems with it, i glued both sides, added cylinder covers, removed plastic sparking plugs and made them using a copper wire, small tubes and Vectorcut's nuts.

Thanks guys, the kit is not so easy to build as you can think ;-)

On this photo you can see kit's quality and it's just fuselage frames, other parts look approximately same

Ok, let's proceed:

- painted exhaust, added wires to sparking plugs, so I can say that engine is completed

- like other Fokkers, D.VIII had a plywood floor and triangle plywood parts on both sides of fuselage. Moreover, from factory they got a lozenge camo linen, from inside it should be visible, but is very time consuming to paint lozenge and not to use decals, so I decided to paint all linen parts that will be inside the fuselage in grey-blue (if it makes sense to you :-) )

- after linen was painted I masked it and, using oil paints, painted wood parts

- on axle wing's bottom side made a mistake with masking, will need to repaint it

- fuselage painted in base yellow color

want to make a black/yellow "chess board" color scheme, so masking will be a bit tough.

I found couple of pictures of this plane, but they are in plant fabric with lozenge, and I couldn't find picture in my colors.

However, from different sources this pilot was know  for his passion to repaint original planes in such a scheme.

For example his Fokker D.VII
