blackbetty
i taped the fuselage and wings/tail assembly together and mounted a "main gear" next to get an idea of the center of gravity for the noseweight Greg W, HerculesPA_2, Rockie Yarwood and 4 others
blackbetty
since the pucará has a very long tail, it is a tailsitter, as anticipated Anthony in NZ, Starfighter, Iain and 5 others
blackbetty
150 grams of tireweight will do, more so because the pit assembly, resin seats, canopy and props will ad to the forward weight Starfighter, Landrotten Highlander, dutik and 9 others

Starfighter
Great job so far! Make sure you apply enough spray filler before you start scribing - scribing (and sanding) PLA is an absolute horror. It would be ideal to apply enough filler to make sure you only scribe the filler and not the PLA below. jenshb
Would it be easier to draw the panel lines on with a mechanical pencil? The control surfaces will need a bit more definition though... Then there is the method Mr.Airscale uses to lay panel by panel... Rainer Hoffmann, blackbetty and Rockie Yarwood 2

blackbetty
i will use a combination of methods: i have drawn certain panels in illustrator to cut them from thin vinyl. i will scribe other panellines and use a rivet wheel where applicable. stay tuned Rainer Hoffmann
Starfighter
But keep in mind that riveting vinyl does not work very well and paint does not stick properly to it. Been there, done that. blackbetty, Rockie Yarwood and Iain 2

Been there, done that. I've been using my Silhouette Portrait to cut some surface details out of Oracal vinyl for my Tiger Moth build, and I can attest to it not taking any rivet detail - it really just makes an ugly mess. No trouble with paint adhesion so far, but it's early days yet. Kev Iain, blackbetty and Rockie Yarwood
blackbetty
i dont want to rivet the vinyl and paint sticks to it if you sand it before cutting Rockie Yarwood
