Make sure you apply enough spray filler before you start scribing - scribing (and sanding) PLA is an absolute horror. It would be ideal to apply enough filler to make sure you only scribe the filler and not the PLA below. I've been using my Silhouette Portrait to cut some surface details out of Oracal vinyl for my Tiger Moth build, and I can attest to it not taking any rivet detail - it really just makes an ugly mess.
