Heads up regarding glue required for the Eduard BF-108

I use 'Plastic Weld' for ABS plastic.

If you have the right glue for the material what's the problem?

After all people use Superglue as a normal method all the time now without worrying about it.

Buy the model and enjoy... regardless!  :)

Funny my Me108 is going together no problem with Tamiya Extra Thin.

Why would Eduard suddenly change to ABS? Seems a bit far out to me.

Andy, I believe that is because the plastic parts for this release were not molded by Eduard, but instead by another company who provided them to Eduard. I can't recall the name of the company off the top of my head, though.

Looks like I'll be getting a special bottle of glue for my future build.

It will be interesting to know how well paint will stick to it without lifting from masking?

I will test my Vallejo primer and color paints on a few parts.  I will be disappointed if I am required to spray lacquer based paint to keep the paint on.

If so, might be worth spraying a layer of Tamiya fine white under the paint, then you could spray any paint you like.

that's exactly what I did Brian on my Taifun build.

But I'm always using Tamiya fine white or MRP surfacers, no matter if it's plastic or resin kit.  Never had any problem with paints adhesion

100% agree Jan. The adhesion that it creates allows most any paint to be used without any issues. Dries as smooth as a babies bottom!
