Iain
Lukgraph's stunning Dragon Rapide/Dominie in the spotlight: In the topsy-turvy World we currently find ourselves in, this kit makes me happy! seiran01
Makes me just as giddy and I can't wait to build my copy Very nicely done review Iain Iain
mozart
Good review Iain, reading between the lines I guess you’re quite impressed with the kit! Mine’s not too far away from starting. Kagemusha
thierry laurent
VERY nice kit but nothing is perfect. Out of my memory: - incorrect front seat and support - incorrect lower shape of rear window - missing fuel tank plugs on engine nacelles - mating the printed front engine nacelle with the rear will not be easy as the top profile of both is noticeably misaligned - front of engine nacelle does not have the correct curvature Not terrible but some of those issues could have been easily avoided. Iain
I hadn't picked up on those Thierry - but then I haven't built it yet! <makes notes for when the time comes> Always difficult with a pure 'in-box' review. I still think it's a wonderful kit though! Iain thierry laurent

thierry laurent
Hi Iain, This is indeed a wonderful kit as your review is clearly showing it. Actually, I dry fitted most of the items and studied closely the airframe scale replica as I'm interested for years in the Dominies used to train RAF radio navigators during WW2. I also have a pile of Dragon Rapide books and articles at home. This explains that! Iain

The escape 'panels' on top of the fuselage should be flush not recessed as they were weakened 'punch-out' canvas, which would have been better replicated with a decal. However, an easy enough fix with some Milliput. Absolutely, not terrible by any means and barely detracts from a truly wonderful kit, but worth mentioning all the same. Zac. Iain
Yes - needs escape panel fairing in - but there is the brass etched insert for this, which should bring it almost flush. Iain
Smokeyforgothispassword
Luckily for me I’m a bit of a TLAR modeller, so any minor issues don’t affect me, I’ll just have to buy and build this kit because the airframe is in my opinion one of the most beautiful aircraft ever! mozart
Iain
It is a cracking subject - and one I never expected to seen in kit form... Iain Jan_G
