Your finished model looks great.  

 

I find it interesting that all the areas that you reworked were the same areas that I had to deal with while building the old Revell kit.   The gaps next to the fins are exactly the same.  It all about kit engineering I guess.   Your kit has fewer ejection pin marks... I think.  Revell plastic was brittle.   This is the first time in a long while an online build has convinced me to pass up a kit.
