LSP_K2
A small order from Hobby Lobby arrived today. Amongst the various modeling goodies received, are a couple of pine ovals, one of which I'll be using for the display base for this project. Once landscaped and a few trees/shrubs added, it should look pretty spiffy. mustang1989 and D Bellis
mustang1989
Cool little side project Kevin. Quite a difference in scale from that track you're building. LSP_K2
LSP_K2
I had occasion to go to Home Depot yesterday, so snatched some textured paint for the base. I think once “landscaped”, this’ll look just great, at least I certainly hope so. Rick Griewski, mustang1989 and Out2gtcha
Tnarg
This really cries out for an Horizon Models Mercury Redstone and Mercury Atlas next to it on the shelf, doesn't it? ... or even better, a Gemini Titan and an X-20 on top of a Titan next to all of them. I guess you can get the Luftwaffe 46 manned V-2 versions in this scale also for a fuller range of von Braun. But then you'd need one of those 1950's ships with the big wings and vast numbers of the V-2 engines in multiple stages. Yes, I get carried away... all the time. Thanks for letting us see some great work. Tnarg LSP_K2
LSP_K2
I actually recently received the AMT rocket series kit, complete with a Redstone, Atlas, Titan II, Saturn 1B and Saturn V. I intend to do all of those as a five rocket display. D Bellis
LSP_K2
While placing an order for some other items this month, I snatched a tube of this putty to try out, specifically on this little V2. I hear it’s great stuff, so I guess I’ll see for myself this weekend.
Rick Griewski
Tnarg I have the Redstone and Atlas rocket families by Horizon Models. They build up to convincing replicas. They are all presented in 1/72 scale. A nice match up with the V-1 kit. LSP_K2
