John1
That pics been out for ages. It was posted on ARC and then taken down a bit later by the OP who said it wasn’t classified but he had second thoughts on posting. A few of us got copies. Depending on who you talk to, it was either a ground based mockup or it actually was used during Desert Storm. The truth is out there.....
Dave Williams
The tail rotor also doesn’t match the pictures of what remained after the OBL raid, if that’s what people are thinking this is. Shawn M

I didn't realise it was out earlier, thanks for clearing that up.
Winnie
This is an early version, the Bin Laden raid one has a disc on the tail rotor as well, and what looked like more segmented sides.
thierry laurent
The stealth OH-58D prototype had a similar look.
Palm-tree
Doesn’t look very stealthy....angle of incidence= angle of reflection and all that?
Oldbaldguy
How on earth can anyone build a truly stealthy helicopter? You can add stealth magic to the fuselage and such but there is little anyone can do to hide the doppler return from the main rotor and tail rotor. As we used to say, all those flat rotating parts are gonna look like a B-52 flying down your wave guide. Jack

As we used to say, all those flat rotating parts are gonna look like a B-52 flying down your wave guide. Stealth is lower observable, not invisible, and on helicopters is aimed more at quieter ingress for raids or extractions, with merely a reduced frontal radar signature to avoid giving the game away and mitigated flank and rear infra-red signature to counter MAN-PADS. Key is the more powerful engines with more torque to get revs up, so they can throttle back using high lift blades to autorotate into the landing zone relatively quietly under cover of darkness. A Blackhawk can also fly nap-of-the-earth under the radar. Tony Jack
