thierry laurent
Hi Does anyone have a picture or a drawing of a Spitfire battery? I'm looking for that information as I must add one in my Mk.I kit (because it was located behind the seat, above the two large gas bottles). Thanks in advance
MikeMaben
Where it's mounted ... but no battery ... Described as " type “B” acid battery in an ebony monoblock. " A little help ?
thierry laurent
Thanks Mike. I have such pictures of the mount in two books but no clue about this damned battery. Your description is already helping a little bit. I have dozens of books about all types of Spitfires but did not find any usable picture! I will have a look as well in my books related to other RAF fighters of the era (e.g. Hurricane). This will possibly help! MikeMaben
thierry laurent
I also know it was a 12v battery.
