Hawkwrench
I need to make some D rings for inside the cabin of my 1/35 MH-60L. Is there a tool out there for it? I've checked Micromark and no joy. Tim
thierry laurent
No but this is quite easy to do it yourself! 1. Take a section of sprue and if too large heat stretch it. 2. Cut it at the relevant point to have a diameter a little bit smaller than the one of the D if it was a O. Actually the precise difference should be twice the thickness of the wire you want to use (use good calipers to check) 3. Sand one face of the O section to change it in a D. 4. Roll wire over that section. Each roll will become a D ring. 5. Make one longitudinal cut through all the wire rolls. 6. You should now have a series of totally identical D rings. 7. Repeat the operation to get enough of them including 20% of spares. 8. Done! Hth Greif8, Ayovan and mozart
