That Red Arrows red plastic takes me back.

I remember ordering one from Argos (a UK chainstore) who were selling them at £9.99 each.

That would be approx. 10 years ago - and still got some of them in my stash!

Excellent work, I'd love to find one of those kits. Question, did those Aires seats come with belts? Thanks

Chuck

Thanks! Yes the seats come with belts (one resin piece)

Nice work on the seats. It may just be the lighting, but they do look like they are a very dark colour? (the seat colour is a similar colour to the cockpit grey colour on the full size items).

Hi Derek,

Swiss MK66s had a slightly different seat version, and it was black.

The image I posted is from a Mk.66 Hawk cockpit, however, it is now in Finnish Air Force service. It looks like the Swiss probably had the lightweight CH 10 LH seats installed originally (which are black). my guess is that the image I posted has been mis-identified and it is actually a Finnish Mk.51A aircraft with the original heavyweight seat, ands not the mk.66 bought aircraft.

Just found this image of a Finnish Air Force (ex-Swiss Air Force Mk.66 aircraft); looks like the Finns did re-install the older Mk.10B seats after all! (which is a little surprising, as the Swiss CH10LH seats have better performance).
