Am I the only one not able to see the pictures?

No, I have the same problem, my antivirus (Kapersky) blocks images for a risk of data loss? I have to manually authorize each image. Stranger, on another WW1 forum the images posted by Kent do not appear at all. I think the problem comes from Kent's image host, but I don't know much about computer science.
It's a shame not to see this work of excellence.

After a lot of cleaning up the wings were ready for painting.

The silver doped paint is a mix of aluminium and some light grey. A coat of Future to protect the 'silver dope'.

The letters are painted with Tamiya 'Rubber Black'

Ready to mask off the ribs and add some 'shadows'.

I noticed something odd with the anchor points of the rigging,

Does anyone know what is going on?

Those are covers over the turnbuckles that attach the flying wires to their brackets on the wings.  Not all airplanes would have them.  Mainly for show/dress-up.  Working airplanes would be less likely to have them than a restored or private airplane.  They don’t do a thing for performance, but help keep dirt and crud out of the turnbuckles and tend to look better and more finished than having all that hardware hanging out in the breeze.  Could be made of just about anything:  fabric, soft aluminum, fiberglass, leather, etc.  The ones on my wire-braced homebuilt were foam core poster board and vinyl tape.  Worked fine; never came off.

Thank you, I haven't seen those before.

I will have to improvise, maybe I can even avoid turnbuckles altogether...

If there are any closeup photos of the covers out there, it would be very much appreciated thank you!

Been through my references Kent, including both Air-Britain books on the DH Dragon and Rapide family, but no further worthwhile details available I'm afraid.  Some appeared to have the "boots", most not:

This is a similar sort of thing on a Bu131 made of leather:

  • 2 weeks later...

Final build of 'Annus horribilis' 2020 (horrible year)

For the rigging I've used Prym elastic tread and a couple of flat fishing wire.
