LSP_K2
Thanks a bunch, Joe, I'm having a great time with it, and have worked on nothing else since I started it, which is somewhat unusual for me, but is certainly an indicator of my passion for this monster. Yet another very prominent item that I overlooked, are the very rough flame cuts in the hull front plate, in the vicinity of the periscope covers. Adding these gouges now will be somewhat more difficult than if I had done them previously. mustang1989
LSP_K2
Muffler guards now get some additional work, including (bogus) casting numbers on the second guard. Continuing the process of adding mild casting texture. I really like the look of this. LSP_Ray, Greg W, mustang1989 and 4 others

Smokey
Kevin, Just checking in again. The texture looks great. What did you do to get the texture? Keep up the good work. Kevin did you have any information on which ones of the Jagdtiger had Zimmerit applied to them? Dan DrDave

As to zimmerit, only the versions with the Porsche running gear had it, as far as I am aware.
LSP_K2
After filing a very minor mold depression that ran the span of the piece, I've now gone ahead and added bogus casting numbers to the superstructure front plate. More casting texture to be added here as well, as Trumpeter left it as smooth as glass, which it most certainly was not. LSP_Ray
Nice! Are you going to add the random pitting of the rolled armor plate pieces, to?

I already have on some pieces, using the old "bouncing ball bit" trick. LSP_Ray
LSP_K2
Looks like the lead wire for weld seams is going to work out OK. (I really need an Optivisor for this sort of work, as the results would undoubtedly be much better using one.) mustang1989
You're definitely not overlooking any of the details on this one Kevin. Looking great man. LSP_K2
LSP_K2
Bow mounted MG actually looks pretty decent to me, though I may substitute an Aber barrel unit, assuming I can actually find one for a decent price. mustang1989 and LSP_Ray
Gazzas
Love the casting numbers. Did you use a number set, or shave some from a sprue? That thing is gonna be huge! LSP_K2

A number set from Plastruct, the smallest they had. And yes, it will be quite large. Gazzas
LSP_K2
A fairly good sized order of supplies arrived today for this project (from Kitlinx), so I can stay on track. Gazzas and mustang1989
