Padubon
I truly hope to be wrong but By looking at the review pictures of the upcoming A-26, I believe they screwed up the prop and the engines. The -26 used the R-2800 and this thing shows a 14 cylinders engine. I usually don’t criticize models, but this is messed up! I was looking forward to build one but right out of the bat, it needs two resin R-2800s and propellers. Edited April 10, 2020 by Padubon

I failed to see the engine discussion. Alburymodeler
Royboy
Hopefully a company like Aries might come to the rescue! Would you see much of them inside of the nacelles though? Just a thought?

Rick Griewski
I checked my resin stash. I have two R2800 engines by Vector. Whether they will fit into the cowlings or not will be an interesting test. On the other hand if they do fit not much will be seen and that seems a waste of two jewels. Maybe two engine fronts will do enough for the illusion. Rick Jack and Alain Gadbois
BloorwestSiR
Aires make a simplified R-2800 for the Trumpeter F4U kits. That might be an economical solution. alanash1963, Rick Griewski and Jan_G 1
The Phantom
Hobby Boss, I mean really, even wikipedia tell you what engines it had, is this being run by 9 year olds? Alburymodeler

Close enough for the “looks close enough” crowd. Don’t be a rivet counter. viperfixer
They already did the P-61B before that has the R-2800 engine, and in this kit they have 18 cilinders, so way did they do it wrong now?
Alburymodeler
If I was in absolute need of a 1/32 Invader, the engines of this kit would just be a detail considering all else that is wrong with it. Alain Gadbois
Dave Williams
Have any of the fire bombers or warbirds been reengined? I’m wondering if they used detail pictures of a converted A-26 as a reference. Jack
