dmthamade
Man, that's a lot of Snakeyes!! Have to say, an A-6 without a lot of weapons loaded looks wrong. Don

Out of interest, which aircraft from the AoA sheet will you depict? I guess a "Sunday Punchers" aircraft? Lothar Hi Lothar, I am depicting AC-500 (152946) of VA-75 Sunday Punchers on Saratogo in 1972. Cheers, David Lothar
Tin Can
David, Looking forward to following your build. My father was the pilot of AC-500 when it went down. Just a couple of historic points from my discussions with members of VA-75: (1) They rarely, if ever, flew up North without a centerline fuel tank, (2) the forward inside bomb attachment point of the inside MER was often left empty due to clearance issues with the landing gear doors. But you're right, the A-6 was quite impressive with a full load. I don't know what the actual loadout was on his last mission; but Grady Jackson hit the same target some time later with 18 Mk 82. Bomb loads were often dictated by what the carrier had on hand and needs of the rest of the air wing. Again, looking forward to your progress.
