We're all going to be creating/buying/sharing/swapping digital files and printing kits or parts of kits at home. The question is when. Still a way's off. I am no additive manufacturing expert. I do know that when I first discovered the concept of a 3D printer, maybe 8 years ago, consumer options were minimal, impractical, and the cheapest I found at the time was like $1,300.
