LSP_Mike
Pretty cool. I'm thinking Mitsubishi colors, with perhaps so logos from Suntory, Asahi or Sapporo. coogrfan, Out2gtcha and Shawn M

scvrobeson
If you want to get really crazy, try to copy the 2007-2008 Honda Formula 1 paint job, the EarthDreams scheme.

scvrobeson
If you want to get crazy with Formula 1 styled schemes, Japanese companies have been long time sponsors. Mild Seven, Leyton House, Footwork, Yamaha with the blue and pink Brabham, even Tamiya was a sponsor for Lotus in the early 90s. Maybe a late Bennetton scheme in the Mild Seven light blue? ringleheim
I would use some actual paint schemes from the War for inspiration. Just keep going with what they have started with, with this aircraft for example. It already looks like a racing plane design. I would think some sort of "tribute" type scheme with a pearl white and some garnet in some sort of Rising Sun pattern might be cool. Not particularly this scheme, just an idea.............. I second that. That would be awesome !! Out2gtcha
aircommando130
Definitely a "rising sun" type paint job! Maybe on the tail...and some 1/48 scale Dragons on the fuselage from an F-4EJ decal sheet on the fuselage sides. I thon the Frank and Tony would make some interesting post war air racers too...against P-51's...Corsairs...Lightnings...Bearcats and Thunderbolts. Banzai!!!
