mpk
Is Revell now owned by a German company? So interesting. Monogram's Pro Modeller kits were just great. I built the 1/48 Me 410. Loads of masking on that one. LSP_K2
chrish
That was very well done, thanks for posting it mpk
LSP_Ron
I especially like the comments on the different scales introduced like 1/32 and 1/35 driving us modellers nuts! chrish, LSP_K2, mpk and 2 others
Mark_C
Thanks for the link. As a kid, I used to dream of getting the Monogram kids. I lived in S. America at the time, and these were simply not available. We had Tamiya and Revell (under local names, and with dodgy quality), and that was about it. Once a year we would fly up to the United States, and I'd go crazy buying kits, with Monogram stuff always at the forefront, especially their 1/32 armor. Good times! chrish and mpk
Pup7309
Thanks! In the 90’s I sent off for some parts for a pro- modeller B24 not expecting anything and they sent a sprue free posted at their expense to the other side of the world. I was so impressed! Rick Griewski
Thanks! This fits in well with the, What is the Oldest Model in Your Stash thread. Much of my allowance and money from chores around the neighborhood ended up at Monogram.
Dainis
I think I still have a B25 Revell/Monogram from the seventies sitting in my parents basement.(They have kept everything I ever did as a child and teen). That would be a trip down memory lane!
JerseyChris
Great video, I remember the excitement I felt one Christmas when I unwrapped the 1/48 B29, happy days (although I think I built it in a week!!, these days I’d spend several months on it...) Astro32
Thank you. That's a great video. Lots of memories for sure. I built their 1/48th B-25H way back around 1977 or so; it was my first project painted with an airbrush, and my first successful weathering effort. I had the included Shep Paine diorama booklet until fairly recently. Whoever gets the tooling, please reissue the 1/8th scale E-Type Jag & '65 Corvette please!
