Hey guys and girls,

Just a reminder that the new Group Build is set to start in the next few days. It will be; Cold War Jets. This won't be just a basic NATO vs Warsaw Pact deal, I'm also including the South East Treaty Organisation and the Central Treaty Organisation, as these were specifically set up to halt the advancement of Communism, to varying degrees of success. Please note that not all countries involved joined their respective sides at the same time and with regards to SEATO and CENTO, they dissolved well before 1990, so please check the dates of your respective builds line up with the countries involvement. Any questions, the basic wiki page for each gives countries and dates, but feel free to msg me if you need to.

Anyways I look forward to seeing what people build. I might break out a MiG for this one.

Maybe a quick review of the parameters for this group build is in order?  Cold War dates and NATO, War Pac nation seems pretty straightforward, but throwing in SEATO and CENTO, which have different nations, and different dates makes it more jumbled up, at least to me.  TIA.

Well basically it's build a jet aircraft from one of the countries listed as a member of the organisations below during their relevant stay in said organisation.

NATO and Warsaw pact. Note the dates at which countries joined.

SEATO. September 1954 - June 1977 (member states only)

CENTO. February 1955 - March 1979.

Would the HK Gloster Meteor 4 be appropriate?

Depends on the country it flew for and the time it was in service. So an Argentine or Egyptian one, no, but a Dutch or Belgian aircraft, yes.

Interesting. I’ll look to join at some point, restarting my marine aquarium is taking priority on the funds at the moment. I’ll jump in with either my Tamiya F-15C or Trumpeter MiG-29A. Have pretty much everything I need for those 2. How long will it run for?

Till the end of August.
