gunpowder
How easy is it to convert the Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E to an M model? Just extended tail and the 2 intakes in front of the exhausts? Edited February 7, 2020 by gunpowder BiggTim

Dave Williams
Here are the sprue layouts for the E and M kits. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10098745/70/8 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10139613/70/8 Looks like the M kit has a different tail sprue (I), new exhausts (U), new exhaust fuselage panel (E), and windscreen (X). gingerbob
Yes, that tail should work. At least one boxing also gave both short and long tails (K or Kittyhawk III?), so it is just possible that somebody has a spare long tail from the kit. As for the other bits, they may be on the sprues, I can't remember. Edited February 8, 2020 by gingerbob

LSP_Mike
IIRC, the Eduard Pinup edition has all the parts for the E, M and N.
KUROK
There is also an extra canopy brace on the windscreen. On port side only I believe. You could just paint that on.
