I am experimenting using only pencils and pastel chalk for weathering, no washes have been applied. All marks and scratches are copied directly from photos of in service Franks.

The exhaust is too dark but I will tone it down after I finish playing drums.

Thank you all very much. There is still work to be done. I am now at a cocktail bar drinking free mocktails. They refuse my money. For some strange reason people like me?

I think they're bonkers.

I will have dinner, then home to model. Play drums all day tomorrow.

Sunday all day modelling.

Luckiest man alive! :D

Last night's weathering over a few hours. I went to my local art supplies shop and bought additional pencils, pastels, charcoal etc. I began weathering around 9 p.m. and stopped around 1.30 a.m.  a lot of that time was experimenting with my new supplies. Great fun. I would try something then another thing etc etc.

At moment of writing it looks like this. My morning has been spent cleaning my work area and searching for the propellor.

Will begin again now.
