1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 108 'Taifun' by Eduard

The kit has some downsides. The rather heavy orange peel surface can be flattened on the big surfaces but it destroys detail on smaller things esp. when they are dominant and visible. The purchase of Eduard`s BRASSIN wheels for the kit is strongly recommended.

and this one as a warning

Got a couple on the way!

I hope they follow it up with some more in our scale if it's deemed commercially successful for them.

Lot's of toes being dipped now, more exciting times ahead I think!

Happy days!

What a great marketing plan!  More money in Mr. Sulc's pocket.

In fairness, the kit was started by Striped Fighter, and was taken on by Eduard, when SF didn't want to proceed, and like the additional propeller, they have produced parts where the kit was lacking.

It's now in stock at Hannants...

Kagemusha,

And now its out of stock at Hannant's. It would appear these flew (no pun intended) out of the warehouse at a rapid rate of knots. I just managed to snaffle one before they went.

Indeed - I'd say that's pretty reasonable!  :)

Iain

Iain,

They are retailing at just north of £36.00. If you are interested in getting your hands on one, I have one for just south of £30.00?

Now at Spruebrothers. Along with Brassin accessories.

Order placed! Picked up the Brassin wheels and an Eduard Look IP as well.

I'll see if I can  get a review up when I get it.

Order placed around 3pm something CST and got a note a bit ago that it's already been shipped.

Says it should be delivered Saturday, but SB is close enough that occasionally I get 24 hour delivery, so might be here tomorrow.

It seems all they have at SB is the profi pack which has a PE panel.

They have the LOOK IP panel which is probably that, the 108 itself, then two Brassin options for wheels, one with a ribbed hub and one has a covered outer hub.

I guess I should say they had yesterday..............
